About Us
In Ireland there is the ancient tradition of the anam cara, the soul friend. In a land that treasures friendship, the anam cara was a special relationship of love and trust. I could think of no better name when I think of what my dogs mean to me. I also lost a young golden girl named Cara to SAS, which to those who do not know, is a severe heart defect. And finally, I went to Ireland a few years ago, the land where my grandmother was born, and it has some special memories for me. Both of my girls, Mia and Hannah are from the Irish Hills. So it just seemed to fit and honors the memory of that little golden girl girl I lost. So Anam Cara it is.
